About

Danielle Munro (neé Guenther) grew up in a small town in Ketchikan, Alaska where she spent a wonderful childhood frolicking in the forest and exploring the rocky coast with her three siblings. She continued on in Alaska furthering her education with a degree in Art from the University of Alaska Anchorage where she found an amazing mix of talented professors who all tended to emphasize technical skills and composition over content leaving their students to develop a voice and a style when they were ready to.

When Danielle graduated from university in 2012 she had an advanced set of technical skills in drawing and painting but still no direction for her art. This is a journey she is still on. For her graduation present her parents took her to Spain on a trip that would change her life. They set out on the Camino de Santiago, a 480 mile walk across northern Spain, and on the third day Danielle met Louis Munro of Dunedin, New Zealand, they walked the together for the next thirty days and three years after they met, they got married and moved to New Zealand where they have made their permanent home.
